One unmistakeable style is that of the rocker. If you love rock music and can be seen strolling through the corridors nodding in time with your i-pod, sporting massive headphones and an optional musical instrument (preferably not a recorder), the odds are that you are a rocker. The rocker look usually features shirts (often in black) declaring the name of your favorite band or singer and a selection of studded trinkets (silver or black leather tend to be popular choices). Your passion for the music should be evident in the way you talk and in every aspect of your outfit.
Another favorite is the jock. If you don your varsity team jacket, you are a walking advertisement for the high school but this look also makes you look like you are in a school sports team. The Quest for The Perfect Handbag

No matter how many handbags we own, there is always the quest to find
that perfect handbag. It is a quest that rarely gets fulfilled. There are
frustrations that we can sometimes have with our precious everyday buddies
that quite frankly piss us off. The top 5 frustrations with handbags are:
1.They are a vacuum for dirt, hair, old chewing gum and crumbs (even
though you have never used the handbag for a plate before).
2.When the mobile is ringing in a densely populated potentially embarrassing
place (e.g. silent train packed with commuters, important meeting at work)
the bag seems to want to hide the phone and bury it in the most awkward
place possible in order to maximise time taken to retrieve the ringing phone
and then letting the phone stop ringing after you, red faced and flustered
have retrieved the phone.
3.Handbags tend to be quite possessive and clingy. If you ever try to move
your worldly possessions from one to another new bag, the older bag will
hide an Important Object from you in attempt to keep your loyalty to it.
Unfortunately though it means we end up panicking and never finding
Important Object for months. Sometimes to be extra sneaky, the old bag
will hide the object in a hole in the bag lining so that you think you have lost
the object for good. (A bit like when Carrie thinks she has lost her Carrie
necklace in Sex and the City).
4.Like cats, they don¡¯t like being cleaned.
5.They don¡¯t appreciate the fact that they are too bulky to store neatly.
They enjoy the chaos of jumbling around in the space that you put them;
whether it¡¯s under the bed, at the top unreachable shelf of your wardrobe
or on a coat peg.
There are 5 key criteria I believe that need to be met for The Perfect
Handbag:
1.Has to fit in half the contents of my house for when I am staying at the
boyfriend¡¯s house, or on an expedition around the city.
2.Has to be soft and willing to expand if necessary to fit in a lot, or shrink
back to normal size for the leisurely activities of shopping or meeting up with
girlfriends!
3.Has to look elegant and pristine at all times. Even through rain, wind and
sun.
4.Needs enough pockets for quick and easy access to the following items:
mobile phone, travelcard, ipod, make up, chewing gum, tissues¡need I go
on?
5.But most importantly, has to fit in with my style and look the part.

Wig Care for Human and Synthetic Wigs

Wigs: The Facts:
Washing synthetic wigs?
First, gently brush out the wig to remove any tangles (unless the wig is extremely curly and/or it came with a tag telling you that it shouldn't be brushed). Most of the longer styles will become quite matted towards the back, and it may be necessary to gently separate the tangled strands with your fingers. TIP: Apply wig spray as Lubricant to aid brushing and easy removal of any tangles.
When the wig is ready to be washed, fill the sink with about 2 quarts of cool water. Never use hot water, as this could relax the curl that was set intothe wig during the manufacturing process. Pour about 2 capfuls of synthetic wig shampoo into the water and then submerge the wig. When the wig is fully wet, swish it around for about a minute and then let soak for about another minute. TIP: Leave the wig to soak in the shampoo and water for 5 minutes before washing. This will loosen any stubborn debris and require less rubbing friction. Repeat the washing process if you feel that the first wash has not fully cleansed the hair or fibre.
Remove the wig and rinse in cold water until no suds remain. Then place the wig on a bath towel to completely dry overnight, or you may place it on a folding wig stand, which will speed upthe drying process. It is all right to blotthe wig with a towel, but don¿t twist the wig or ring it out. You can use your fingers to gently separate and arrange the strands as the wig is drying, but don¿t try to comb or brush the wig while still wet. The fibers could be stretched to the breaking point. Tip: Always rinse the shampoo off with the water flowing in the direction of the hair fibre. Lightly spray conditioner ontothe wig after towel drying to aid later brushing and to return oils lost through the washing procedure.
If you wish, you can use a spray-on conditioner on the wig while damp. Work the conditioner through the strands with your fingers, NOT a brush or comb. When the wig is completely dry, you can brush it and style it as you usually would.
If you¿d like to put a bit of curl back into your wig, read on. While re-curling a wig is possible, it can be very time-consuming if it is a very curly style. The best curlers to use are soft sponge rollers, and choosing the size will, of course depend upon the tightness of the curl that is desired.
First, slightly dampen the wig with cool water and then put in the rollers. It is important to get each strand combed through before rolling it up to avoid any unsightly ¿kinks¿ when the curler is removed.
Once the wig is all set, run HOT water all over it until fully saturated, then gently squeeze each roller to remove excess water. Let the wig dry completely before removing the rollers.
Towel blot your wig. DO NOT PUT YOUR WIG IN A STYRO WIG HEAD TO DRY! The wig will have a tendency to stretch when wet.
Lay your wig on a towel hair side up and let dry.
Turn the wig over when the fiber is dry to complete drying inside. If you place the wig outside I the sunshine, it should dry approximately in one hour. If you place your wig inside, you should leave it overnight to dry. Drying time also depends on the length and thickness of your wig.
** In humid conditions or when time is of the essence, place wig on a towel in front of a fan.
Once completely dry, carefully take out the rollers and you should have a nicely re-curled wig!

Even on the coolest settings, a blow dryer, hot rollers, and curling irons will frizz the fibers, and may even melt them, therefore ruining the wig.

Dissolve a capful of wig shampoo, along with 1 tablespoon of baking soda.
Squeeze shampoo solution through hair gently, keeping hair going in one direction or it may tangle. If front of cap has makeup on it, it may be scrubbed gently with an old toothbrush.
Rinse wig well with plenty of lukewarm water.
Dissolve a capful or so of wig conditioner in plastic tub or pan of water to cover well. Work mixture through wig hair (remember: same direction). Rinse with fresh water. Lay wig out on towel and pat out excess water.
Pin on wig form and pick or comb out gently. At this point, a detangler may be used. If working on a long wig, start combing out the hair at the ends and work up the strand to the roots. Wig may be set in rollers if desired and placed under hood dryer, or left to dry overnight. You probably can't recall who said it, but whoever first uttered that fashion comes full circle every 30 years or so was not too far off. This season on the runway is reminiscent of the flowing 70s in both fabric and style. We are seeing much more of the long skirt and much less of the micro mini. Materials like silk and chiffon, which tend to flow and gather, are much more popular for Spring 2008 than fabrics like cotton or denim which tend to hold shape and stay stiffer in appearance. The word for the season is feminine, feminine, feminine! The exception to this seems to be in outerwear, where rubber is oddly back in style. Indoors, though, thin little belts, hats, and scarves are also popular and a throwback to the 70s as well as being womanly. Don't despair, though - some things from last season are still popular and can be recycled for this season.
